2016-4-21 · Just found a (Fairly) cheapo new Fender Supersonic. What a great little guitar (after an hour or so of adjustments that is), that sounds great. I was figuring on shielding it, like I do any guitar that doesn't have it. But why bother - the "Fender Atomic" Humbuckers. Sound great & are absolutely quiet. Really lucked out on this buy.

I figured I would give shielding a try, I painted the cavaties with shielding paint and taped this to the pickguard metal foil. The good news is that the hum in almost gone and it makes no difference if I touch the strings or not.
